The 1073®DPD combines two of our world-famous Class A 1073®microphone preamplifiers with flexible 192kHz digital output capabilities, for modern recording environments – all in a single rackspace.
For those who don’t already know its legacy, the big, punchy sound of the 1073® preamp complements any musical genre, from rock to pop, hip-hop to rap, thrash to classical. Its lush sound with classic Neve® signature makes it the consummate mic pre for recording vocals, guitars, and all acoustic instruments.
With the 1073®DPD, two 1073® mic preamplifiers are complemented by superb Neve®-designed analogue-to-digital converters that can capture a performance in any required format. In addition to Neve’s famous Class A analogue outputs are a series of digital options, including all standard PCM sampling rates up to 192kHz, selectable via convenient front-panel controls. A unique feature is the Neve® DSD (Direct Stream Digital) output, providing unsurpassed quality beyond PCM technology.
Despite its power, the 1073®DPD is remarkably simple to operate. Two rear-panel Mic inputs and Line inputs feed dual Class A gain stages, with adjustable Gain control and selectable 48V available on the Mic inputs. Class A analogue outputs in XLR format are also found on the rear panel, controlled via adjustable front-panel ±10dB Trim controls. Analogue insert points are provided ahead of the A/D converters, ensure the classic Neve® sound is retained.

The quality is legendary. Designed and built in England, the modern-day 1073®DPX is produced to the exact specifications of the original with matched components to ensure the sound remains true.
The 1073®DPX has two channels of the 1073® Class A design microphone preamplifiers, each with 3-band EQ (fixed HF plus two switchable bands with cut/boost capability) and high pass filter, adding warmth and depth to recordings, bringing out subtle ambience, maintaining spatial positioning, and capturing a more precise image – embodying, think many engineers and producers, the essence of the genuine Neve® sound. Building on the 1073® classic module features, the 1073®DPX introduces extra functionality with integrated DI input, phantom power, selectable Insert feature, level meters, selectable headphone monitoring and front input connectors on each channel for easy and direct connection of microphones and instruments. The new 3122V provides 2 channels of API's signature analog sound and features the same legendary circuit design found in the 3124V and 3124MV, as well as the 312, 512V, and 512c mic preamps. In addition to the familiar combination of 2520 Op Amps and proprietary output transformers that give all API mic preamps that punch and massive headroom, the 3122V also includes front and rear panel XLR and 1/4" inputs (conveniently selectable on the faceplate), a fixed-frequency HP filter, GAIN and the popular Variable Output Level control, as well as 48V, POL, and PAD. APIs 4-Kanal-Preamp mit Outputregler
Like the API 3124+, the 3124V is a high quality, compact, 4-channel mic preamp. It is equipped with the RE-115 K mic input transformer and the proprietary output transformer found in all API mic pres and throughout the API product line. Additionally, the 3124V offers Variable Output Level Control and switchable 3:1 output transformer selection. The unit has an internal 48-volt phantom power supply, which is switchable for each channel, as well as -20dB pad switches that affect both the mic and Hi-Z instrument inputs, both located on the front panel.
The 3124V also features up to 65dB of gain. Additionally, the Hi-Z front panel inputs feed directly to the op amps, which allow a low level input such as a guitar or bass to be amplified without a matching transformer or direct box. These Hi-Z inputs can take levels as high as +20dBu, making them perfect for keyboards and other high level devices. The mic preamp outputs are on rear panel male XLR connectors.
