The Universal Audio UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt 3 OCTO Core is a powerful external DSP accelerator designed to run UAD plug-ins with dedicated hardware processing. By offloading plug-in calculations to the Satellite’s DSP processors, producers can run large mixes without heavily taxing their computer’s CPU.
The OCTO version features eight SHARC DSP processors, providing significantly higher processing power than QUAD models and making it suitable for complex mixing sessions with many UAD plug-ins.
Connected via Thunderbolt 3, the unit works with both Mac and Windows systems and can be combined with Apollo audio interfaces or other UAD-2 DSP devices to create a scalable professional mixing environment.
