It delivers the smooth, rich tone associated with classic vintage studio microphones while offering modern flexibility for contemporary recording workflows.
Inspired by legendary tube microphones such as the U67-style design, the Bock 167 expands the concept with advanced tone-shaping features and continuously variable polar patterns.
Sound Character
The Bock 167 provides a warm, detailed tube sound with a lively midrange and smooth high-frequency response. Its combination of dual-symmetrical K67 capsule, NOS EF732 tube, and Lundahl output transformer delivers rich harmonic content and excellent headroom.
The microphone features a continuously variable polar pattern, allowing seamless transition between omni, cardioid and figure-8 pickup patterns for precise control over the recording environment.
