Royer Labs R-122 Matte Black One unit only, new, full warranty  The Royer R-122 MKI Matte Black is the original version of Royer's legendary phantom-powered Active Ribbon™ microphone, first introduced in 2002. According to Royer Labs, the R-122 was the world's first phantom-powered active ribbon microphone, addressing one of the traditional limitations of passive ribbon designs: their dependence on exceptionally quiet, high-gain microphone preamplifiers with suitable input impedance. Importantly, this is the original R-122 – now commonly referred to as the R-122 MKI – rather than the later R-122 MKII.
