Crane Song Avocet IIA Stereo Version Der in professionellen Mastering- und Produktionsstudios weltweit als Referenz eingesetzte Crane Song Avocet 2 Monitorcontroller ist ab sofort mit einem neuen D/A-Wandler erhältlich. Als Wandlerbaustein verwendet Crane Song die neueste 32 Bit Chip Generation des Herstellers AKM. Im Rahmen der Produktpflege hat der Avocet darüber hinaus eine Erweiterung der Abhör-Funktionen bekommen. Es können nun zwei analoge Eingänge wahlweise gleichzeitig abgehört werden! Für den neuen D/A-Wandler wurde auch eine neue Clock entwickelt, die einen extrem niedrigen Jitter von 1pS aufweist. Daneben kommen völlig neu designte analoge and digitale Filter zum Einsatz. Das Ergebnis ist ein DA-Wandler mit unübertroffen präziser Darstellung und ausgezeichnetem Einschwingverhalten. Der Crane Song Avocet ist ein höchstwertiger Stereo Abhörcontroller mit neu D/A Wandler, bestehend aus einer mehrkanalfähigen Fernbedienung und des eigentlichen zweikanaligen Mainframes im 19" Format. Für 5.1 und 7.1 Surround-Anwendungen ermöglicht die Fernbedienung die Steuerung mehrerer Mainframes Mit dem Avocet können sowohl digitale als auch analoge Quellen abgehört werden. Die analoge Audiosektion ist wie immer bei Crane Song in Class-A Technik ausgeführt. Die digitale Audiosektion ist mit einem 192kHz/32Bit AKM D/A Wandler bestückt. Um eine bestmögliche D/A Wandlung zu gewährleisten werden alle eingehenden digitalen Signale up-gesamplet und Jitter reduziert, Die Lautstärkeänderung wird über im Mainframe befindliche Relais durchgeführt. Soundverfärbungen oder klangliche Einbußen wie bei der Verwendung von Potentiometern oder VCAs sind damit ausgeschlossen. Auf der Fernbedienung des Avocet befinden sich je 3 Wahltaster für die digitalen und analogen Stereoeingängen sowie der 3 analogen Monitorausgängen. Die Eingänge des Avocets können ALLE im Pegel einzeln justiert und nichtflüchtig abgespeichert werden. Die digitalen Eingänge können wahlweise im 32, 24 oder 16 Bit Modus abgehört werden. Die Fernbedienung besitzt ein gerastertes Volumepotentiometer sowie Dim-, Mute-, Phase- und Monofunktion. Für den Anschluss eines analogen Peak- oder VU-Meters steht ein gebufferter Ausgang zur Verfügung. Um die Kommunikation zwischen Regie und Aufnahmeraum zu ermöglichen, besitzt der Crane Song Avocet einen integrierten Kopfhörerverstärker und einen Eingang für ein Talkback-Mikrofon. Dieses kann an der Fernbedienung angeschlossen und über einen Gaintrimmer im Pegel justiert werden. Der Kopfhörerverstärkerweg kann entweder mit dem analogen Aux Input, Main oder Programm gespeist werden. Die Pegeleinstellungen können einzeln justiert und nichtflüchtig gespeichert werden.
