Chandler Limited REDD.MIC

The Chandler Limited REDD.MIC is a unique large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone that combines a microphone and a classic tube preamp into a single device. Developed in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, it is based on the legendary EMI REDD.47 amplifier design, bringing that iconic sound directly into the microphone itself.

At its core is an innovative concept: the capsule is directly coupled to the built-in REDD.47 tube preamp, minimizing the signal path and delivering a highly direct, full-bodied and three-dimensional sound.

The REDD.MIC outputs a line-level signal, meaning it can be used without an external preamp, while still allowing integration into traditional studio signal chains.

Sound Character

The REDD.MIC delivers the classic “Abbey Road REDD sound”—big, rich and musical.

Its tone is defined by a powerful low end, warm midrange and a smooth, velvety high-frequency response.
Rather than sounding overly bright or clinical, it provides a more organic, three-dimensional character.

The integrated tube preamp adds natural harmonic saturation and density, resulting in a larger-than-life sound—especially suited for vocals and acoustic recordings.
