It did not start with a shop, but with music. With bands, rehearsal rooms, the desire to capture songs – and the realization that recording and mixing can be just as creative as playing itself.
The passion for audio technology started early: at the age of 14, a Fostex R8 tape machine and a mixing console marked the beginning – followed by countless magical hours in the basement, completely immersed in the world of music recording. Eight tracks, tape hiss, tangled reels – and still this feeling: You press play and hear something that previously only existed in your head. At the same time: Cakewalk on a 386 PC, endless rendering times, crashes at the worst possible moment – and nights in which you learned more about signal flow, levels and decisions than from any manual. That was 35 years ago.
From there, everything kept moving in the same direction: better converters · better monitors · first outboard gear · understanding what really changes – and why.
After school came the next step: training as a Diploma Audio Engineer. This was followed by several years of mobile broadcast production technology for broadcasters and companies. In parallel, studies in business administration – connecting sound with entrepreneurial thinking.
Music always remained a constant companion. After university, a private studio and record label were founded. The search for precision led to countless devices being tested under real-world conditions – from converters, microphones and preamps to compressors and monitors – with one goal: the ideal balance of sound quality, workflow and reliability.

We are happy to go through your setup with you and suggest improvements – also on site. This includes concepts for cabling and patchbays, acoustic optimization and the integration of analog and digital components.
We manufacture everything from adapters to high-end hi-fi cables in-house wherever possible and exclusively to a high standard. Peakhouse Audio is also one of the few official VOVOX Custom Tailors worldwide: custom lengths, multicores, complete studio cabling – almost anything is possible and produced quickly in excellent quality.
We regularly offer special deals on demo units. Their condition is described as accurately as possible – and we provide full warranty. It is worth checking back regularly.
