The Audeze LCD-XC is a premium closed-back planar magnetic reference headphone designed for professional mixing, mastering, recording and critical listening. Combining Audeze's renowned planar magnetic technology with the isolation of a closed-back design, the LCD-XC delivers reference-grade accuracy while preventing microphone bleed and reducing external noise. Since its major 2021 revision, it has become one of the most respected closed-back headphones in professional audio.

At its core are 106 mm planar magnetic drivers featuring Ultra-Thin Uniforce™ diaphragms, Fluxor™ magnet arrays and Fazor™ waveguides. This advanced driver architecture provides exceptionally low distortion, outstanding transient response and an extended frequency response reaching 50 kHz. Despite its closed construction, the LCD-XC produces an unusually spacious soundstage, making it equally suitable for professional studio work and high-end music listening. With its 20-ohm impedance and efficient design, it performs well from professional audio interfaces while scaling noticeably with high-quality headphone amplifiers.

The Audeze LCD-XC combines the precision of a mastering reference headphone with the isolation advantages of a closed-back design.

Its bass extends effortlessly into the sub-bass region while remaining exceptionally tight, controlled and free from artificial emphasis. Unlike many closed-back headphones, the LCD-XC maintains outstanding transient accuracy and low-frequency definition.

The midrange is neutral, highly detailed and remarkably transparent, making vocals, guitars, pianos and acoustic instruments exceptionally easy to evaluate during mixing. High frequencies are refined, extended and fatigue-free without becoming overly bright.

Perhaps most impressive is its spacious imaging. Despite its closed-back construction, the LCD-XC produces an expansive stereo image with excellent depth and localisation, making it ideal for professional recording sessions where isolation is required without sacrificing reference-quality monitoring.
