Audeze LCD-X

Audeze LCD-X

The Audeze LCD-X is a professional open-back planar magnetic reference headphone that has become one of the industry's most respected choices for mixing, mastering and music production since its introduction in 2013. Designed for audio professionals and demanding listeners alike, the LCD-X combines Audeze's renowned planar magnetic technology with excellent efficiency and a highly accurate studio-oriented tuning. Its open-back construction makes it an outstanding tool for critical monitoring and precise mix decisions.

At its core are 106 mm planar magnetic drivers featuring Ultra-Thin Uniforce™ diaphragms, Fluxor™ magnet arrays and Fazor™ waveguides. These technologies provide exceptionally low distortion, outstanding transient response and remarkable detail retrieval across the entire frequency spectrum. With an impedance of 20 ohms and a sensitivity of 103 dB/1 mW, the LCD-X can easily be driven by professional audio interfaces and portable DACs, while scaling even further with high-quality headphone amplifiers. The current generation also features an improved suspension headband and replaceable earpads for maximum comfort during extended studio sessions.

Sound Character

The Audeze LCD-X delivers an exceptionally neutral, transparent and highly resolving presentation.

Its bass extends effortlessly into the sub-bass region while remaining fast, controlled and exceptionally accurate. Rather than relying on exaggerated low-end emphasis, the LCD-X impresses through outstanding extension, transient precision and linearity.

The midrange is one of its defining strengths, reproducing vocals, guitars, pianos and acoustic instruments with remarkable realism and tonal accuracy. Treble is smooth, detailed and airy without becoming harsh or fatiguing.

Thanks to its open-back design, the LCD-X creates a spacious stereo image with excellent depth and precise localisation, closely resembling the experience of listening through premium studio monitors in a well-treated control room. This makes it one of the most trusted headphones for professional mixing and mastering applications.
