The Audeze LCD-5s is the latest evolution of Audeze's flagship open-back planar magnetic reference headphone, building upon the acclaimed LCD-5 while introducing the company's new SLAM™ (Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator) technology. Designed for mastering engineers, mix professionals and demanding audiophiles, the LCD-5s combines exceptional technical accuracy with enhanced bass realism, improved comfort and an even more refined acoustic presentation.

At its core is a newly optimised 90 mm planar magnetic transducer featuring Audeze's Nano-Scale Parallel Uniforce™ diaphragm, Fluxor™ magnet array, Fazor™ waveguides and the new SLAM™ acoustic management system. Together with redesigned earpads and a premium OCC copper cable, these improvements provide deeper, more controlled bass, greater comfort and improved spatial precision. Compared with the original LCD-5, the LCD-5s now features a 35-ohm impedance, allowing even greater driver control when paired with high-quality headphone amplifiers. The premium construction combines magnesium, carbon fibre, leather and polished polymer acetate with elegant copper accents.

The Audeze LCD-5s delivers one of the most neutral yet emotionally engaging presentations available in a reference headphone.

The most significant improvement over the original LCD-5 comes from the new SLAM™ technology, which produces noticeably deeper, more lifelike and better-controlled bass while maintaining a highly neutral tonal balance. Sub-bass gains authority without sacrificing speed or accuracy.

The midrange remains exceptionally transparent, allowing vocals, guitars, pianos and acoustic instruments to be reproduced with remarkable realism. Small EQ adjustments, compression changes and stereo decisions become immediately apparent, making the LCD-5s an outstanding mastering reference.

Treble is highly extended, smooth and exceptionally detailed, while the open-back design creates an expansive soundstage with pinpoint imaging and outstanding depth. Despite its analytical capabilities, the LCD-5s remains highly musical and fatigue-free during extended professional sessions.
