AEA TDI Duo Stereo DI Box & Instrument Preamp

The AEA TDI Duo is a high-end active stereo DI box and instrument preamp based on the proven AEA TDI circuit. It expands the original concept into a dual-channel design, making it ideal for stereo instruments or parallel signal paths.

Designed by Fred Forssell, the circuit combines an ultra-low-noise Class A JFET buffer with a transformer-balanced output stage, delivering exceptional clarity, low distortion and excellent transient response.


Sound Character

The TDI Duo delivers an extremely transparent, open and detailed sound with excellent dynamics and accuracy.

  • Low-end: deep and solid

  • Highs: open and highly detailed

Its very high input impedance (approx. 10 MΩ) preserves the full tonal character of passive pickups without loading effects or high-frequency loss.
