My passion for audio engineering was ignited at the age of 14 when, full of enthusiasm, I bought a Fostex R8 tape machine and a mixing console. From that moment on, I spent countless magical hours in my basement, completely immersed in the world of music recording. It was a time of experimentation and learning—supported by my first Cakewalk sequencer and a 386 PC, which opened the door to a whole new world for me.
After graduating from high school, I inevitably pursued a degree as a certified Audio Engineer to quench my thirst for knowledge. But my journey didn’t stop there. For several years, I worked as a sound engineer in OB van technology, serving various broadcasters and companies. At the same time, I studied economics—driven by the desire to combine technical precision with entrepreneurial thinking.
During this period, music remained a constant companion. After completing my studies, I decided to give my creativity even more room to flourish by founding my own studio and record label. In the many hours I spent working on both my own and others' productions (including Monocular, Tom Liwa, Bardic, Blomqist), I repeatedly encountered the challenges of digital technology. This pursuit of perfection led me to test countless devices—from converters, microphones, and preamps to compressors and monitors—in my quest for the ideal sound quality.
Over time, my enthusiasm for the technical side of music grew, and the idea of channeling my experience and knowledge into independent consulting and sales became increasingly clear. Many of the products I offer today are ones I have personally used and come to appreciate under real recording conditions.
Between 2012 and 2018, I was co-founder and partner of a company that, together with my team, I built into one of Germany's leading pro audio retailers. That intense period only deepened my passion for the industry.
With Peakhouse Audio, I am now creating a space where all my experience and resources come together—and where they can continue to evolve. Alongside the technical and musical aspects, one thing is especially close to my heart: a conscious approach to our environment. For me, sustainability and quality are inseparably linked.
